Dark Meadow
Handmade, customized backpacks
Bold and colourful backpacks featuring an exclusive design by Maiu Lünekund, custom-made to fit your exact measurements and preferences. Thanks to high-quality ultralight materials, these backpacks are both lightweight and durable. With no unnecessary bells and whistles, this pack is best suited for the minimalist hiker who pays close attention to gear weight.
These custom backpacks are especially designed for those who, for one reason or another, haven’t found the right hiking companion on store shelves. Common issues include a waist that's too slim (causing the hip belt to slide down and shift the weight to the shoulders), a larger bust (making shoulder straps dig in), or non-standard waist/back length proportions.

Backstory
In 2024, our hiking guide Stiina decided to revisit a long-neglected childhood hobby: sewing. In fact, sewing runs in her blood—Stiina's grandmother used to be a seamstress at Sangar and even led a sewing cooperative! For Stiina, sewing hiking gear combines creativity, a love for the outdoors, and technical thinking—after all, she is an engineer by education. Making things herself allows her to freely choose materials, pockets and straps, dimensions, and colors.
After sewing nearly ten backpacks for herself and her friends, an idea struck Stiina during a December run: what if she teamed up with Maiu and put Maiu’s artwork on the backpacks? After all, people have repeatedly asked Näkid why we don’t create merch with our logos. We've never wanted to produce things just for the sake of producing—we want our items to have real practical value and to actually be used out in nature! Maiu immediately embraced the idea, picked up her paintbrush, and as a result of this collaboration, the Dark Meadow backpack was born.
Measure the back length by following the shape of the back from the base of the neck to the waist — a tailor's measuring tape works best for this. If you prefer to wear the backpack lower (so that it rests on the very bottom of your back) or higher (so that the backpack sits on your waist), measure from there.

How to measure your waist circumference
The waist circumference should also be measured exactly where you wear your backpack - some people prefer it on the hips, others more on the waist.
